About the Tours
Wade into the crystal-clear waters of Coffin Bay and experience oyster farming up close.
Relax on our semi-submerged Salt Water Pavilion, positioned beside a working commercial oyster farm, and taste oysters at their freshest — straight from the water.
You’ll learn how oysters grow, hear stories of Coffin Bay, and enjoy a guided, hands-on shucking lesson so you can open oysters like a pro.
Enhance your experience with optional add-ons such as local sparkling, Riesling, Bloody Mary oyster shots or extra oysters — all enjoyed in the water.
Tours operate year-round and take approximately 90 minutes.
Wear fitted clothing, bring socks for the waders, and dress for the weather.

Oyster Farm Wading Tour & Tasting Experience
Sit at our Salt Water Pavilion, learn how oysters grow, take part in a guided shucking lesson and enjoy four delicious oysters fresh from the bay.
Optional upgrades include local or imported wines & sparkling, oyster shots or extra oysters.
Oyster Farm Wading Tour & Tasting Experience
(with Transport from Port Lincoln)
This option includes pick-up from your Port Lincoln accommodation and return transfers to Coffin Bay. The full experience is approximately four hours, including the 1.5-hour wading tour and free time afterward for lunch at Oyster HQ or a scenic walk.
Optional add-ons are available.
Transport is charged at a minimum of two guests ($140), and can be arranged for one.
Sparkle & Splash Oyster Tasting Experience
Start your morning with sparkle and an oyster farm wading tour — ½ dozen oysters plus a glass of local sparkling wine, enjoyed when the bay is at its calmest.
This tour runs through holiday periods only.
Summer Sundowner Oyster Tasting Experience
During Summer, our final oyster farm tour of the day includes a ½ dozen oysters, plus a glass of sparkling, refreshing beer, wine or soft drink.
You can always choose to keep the party going by selecting from our wide range of options, catering to most palates.

We can arrange private tours for large or small groups.

Children & Infants
Children and infants are welcome to join the tour.
Parents can decide whether their child will enjoy and stay engaged during the 1.5-hour experience in the water. Children are charged at the standard rate, as most enjoy tasting an oyster and taking part in the shucking lesson.

Bookings are essential as tour seating is limited. Please book the total number of seats you require, including children when you make your booking.
